Flamenco Level 4 - Spring 2024 Course Details

• 💃🏻 Course Content: Various Choreographies, Review and Practise
• ⏰ Dates: April 8 - May 13 class runs from 8.05-9.05pm
• ⏰ Dates: May 27-June 17 class runs from 7.30-8.45pm
  
• 🗓️ : Every week on Mondays
• 🎭 Recital (optional): Saturday, June 22, 7pm Northwood Community Centre, Halifax

Suggested Add-on Class: Mondays 7.35-8.05 pm Upper Body & Marcajes (Open Level Class) 6 wks April 8 - May 13

Level 4 – Advanced Flamenco Level

• I can coordinate feet, hands, arms, and skirt fluently in easy steps.
• I can pay attention to the aesthetics of movement and interpretation. 
• I have performance experience and have learned choreographies in various palos over the years.
• I understand compás and the structure of flamenco choreography.
• I have studied with other teachers or taken workshops in Spain.
• I have some improvisational skills and can adjust choreographies to my liking.
• I can use some “elementos”(props) such as the fan, shawl, bata de cola or castanets.
• I have some solo dance performance experience

Missed a Class?

Students of Level 4 can take a make-up class on any level down anytime during the term.

Interested in joining this level?

In the spring term, this class will be working towards premiering material already learned. Flamenco dancers interested in joining this class, please contact.

Courses with new material start September, January and April. You can however join later. Fees can be prorated. New intake for this class for new students will be September 2024. Contact Maria if you are interested in joining this level.
