Flamenco Levels 1 & 2 (Progressive Level)

Sprig Term Progressive Beginner and Low Intermediate Levels
This course is structured for two levels, offering tailored instruction for both progressive beginners (Level 1) and advanced beginner to low intermediate dancers (Level 2).
• Level 1 (Progressive Beginner - 1 to 2 years of training) Focuses on building foundational skills, improving footwork, and learning Sevillanas, a must-know dance for all flamenco dancers. Recommended for students who learned Fandangos this winter and attended Level 1 in the fall.
• Level 2 (Advanced Beginner - Low Intermediate - 3+ years of training) Designed for students who have already learned Alegrias in the 2023/24 school year and Fandangos this year. This level will refine technique and further develop choreography.
• 6:00 – 7:00 PM | Level 1: Footwork Technique & Sevillanas
(Students who participated in the winter Fandangos choreography will continue an additional 15 minutes from 7:00 – 7:15 PM.)
• 7:00 – 8:00 PM | Level 2: Choreography – Alegrias & Fandangos (Review & Development) & Tangos de la Repompa Review (occasional run-through at the end of class)

- Saturday, April 21 - Seville's Spring Fair in Halifax Family Fair Day
- Between Shores - Premiere, May 9-10
- No Class: Victoria Day, May 19
- Last Day of Classes: June 16
- Student Showcase: Saturday, June 21, 7:00 PM at DanceSpace (Rehearsal at 5:00 PM)
